The reconstituted Enugu State Internal Revenue Service is responsible for ensuring a substantial increase in the Internally Generated Revenue of the State through the adoption and exhaustive implementation of strategies tailored for high positive impact on revenue generation and collection. Their major function includes, among others, to ensure the retrieval of the revenue collected by various tax officers in all local government headquarters and forward it to the State Government for disbursement.
The Board is led by the Executive Chairman, Mr Emeka Anthony Odo who is also a member of the Enugu State Economic Advisory Committee. Other members include Mr Chike Onodugo, Mr Jude Sunday Egbo, Barr Joseph Onuoha and Mrs Chinasa Perpetual Awkadigwe (Secretary of the Board), among others.
